Alstom India's Q3 loss narrows to Rs. 7.58 crore

New Delhi: French firm Alstom's domestic arm, Alstom India, has narrowed its net loss to Rs. 7.58 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2013.

The company had recorded a net loss of Rs. 14.59 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Total income from operations in the quarter under review increased to Rs. 533.08 crore from Rs. 489.39 crore in the same period of the last fiscal year (FY13), Alstom India said in a filing to the bourses.

Its other expenditure was down to Rs. 77.35 crore from Rs. 90.64 crore.

Shares in Alstom India, on Wednesday, ended at Rs. 336.05 apiece on the BSE, up 0.48 per cent from the previous close.
