Big B loses over Rs 1 crore as Just Dial shares crash 12.6%Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who has nearly 1 per cent ownership in Just Dial, saw the value of his holdings lose over by over Rs. 1 crore on Tuesday.

The shares of the local search service provider plunged as much as 18.2 per cent as its October-December quarter earnings fell short of some analysts' expectations.

The company reported that its net profit for the quarter was Rs. 29.55 crore, almost flat from Rs. 28.66 crore in the previous quarter.

Amitabh Bachchan owns about 62,794 shares in Just Dial, according to the company's latest shareholding disclosure. Just Dial shares ended 12.6 per cent lower at Rs. 1,287.85 today.

The value of the Bollywood superstar's investment now stands at nearly Rs. 8 crore as opposed to Rs. 9.2 crore on Monday.

Despite today's fall in value of the investment, Amitabh Bachchan still has gained handsomely from Just Dial. According to a disclosure by the company in its IPO prospectus, Mr Bachchan was given 62,794 shares at a price of Rs. 10 each in 2011, valuing his original investment at just Rs. 6.27 lakh.
