Ford unearths new Fiesta at Auto Expo

Ford unearths new Fiesta at Auto ExpoFord today unveiled new 2014 Fiesta at the ongoing 2014 Indian Auto Expo, which will replace the existing generation Fiesta in India. However, the car's launch will take place during third quarter of 2014. Since, it's a mid-life makeover, there will be no mechanical changes made to the car.

The new Ford Fiesta now has a new common family face with a trapezoidal front grille, with laser-cut headlights. What adds more to its overall personality is the power-dome hood design. The tail-lamps too have gone through detailing and are now bigger in size, giving the car an improved stance.

As mentioned above, the new Fiesta has gone through no mechanical changes. It continues to come with a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel mill, capable of churning out a maximum power output of 107bhp, 140Nm and 89bhp and 204Nm, respectively.

While, the petrol engine model can be opted either with a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission, the diesel model comes only with a five-speed manual gearbox. Power is transmitted to the front-wheels of the car.

What remains to be known now is the pricing, which the company will unveil at the time of launch.
