Reliance Communications Q3 net rises marginally, misses estimates

New Delhi: Reliance Communications, India's fourth-biggest cellular carrier by customers and revenue, missed estimates with its quarterly profit rising about 3 per cent as higher debt costs weighed.

Reliance Communications, controlled by billionaire Anil Ambani, said on Friday that its consolidated net profit rose to Rs. 108 crore for its fiscal third quarter to end-December, from Rs. 105 crore a year earlier.

Revenue rose 1.9 per cent from a year earlier to Rs. 5403 crore, lagging estimates.

Nine analysts on average had expected a net profit of Rs. 258 crore on revenue of Rs. 5552 crore.
